11/4/2014 DB's Dailies: Kea@SB, Kaiwi@CW,. Buster,Duke, Kolohe&Aukai@RI, Luana@Hidden Bch, U/U@Hauula, U/U@PC

Kea was gone on my 0615 Sandy Beach check. I picked up the stuff and continued. Marilyn & I were there to find Kea (RN46) on the outfall at 0731. We cordoned him off, and he has remained the rest of the day. His D#10 molt is 99%. Kea remained at dark.

Marilyn called at 0908 with the report of Kaiwi (RK96) at China Walls. Gayle reported Kaiwi’s departure at 1110.

On my 0925 Rabbit Island check I found Buster (RV08) fronting 1BS, and Aukai (RL12) at Rocky Right Beach. Both would remain the rest of the day.

 At 1155 Duke (RA12) hauled out to join Buster at 1BS. They had brief words, and then both settled down for the rest of the day.

On a pan at 1206 I found what would prove to be Kolohe (RW22) at the far left end of the beach on RI.

At 1109 posse member Susan Lewis called from the end of the world, with the report of a possible RW02 & an U/U, at Ka’ena Point. She called again at 1124 with the report of RL42 on the back beach. Awaiting photos.

Dana called at 1316 to advise that Lesley had reported Luana (RN58), 15% molted at Hidden Beach.

Dana called at 1504 with the report of an U/U at Hauula. The photo received was inconclusive.

 Dana called at 1552 with the report of an U/U at Paradise Cove. There was no ID possible . The animal came, looked and left.
