At 0750 I found RK36, and an U/U at the left end of the beach on Rabbit Island . The U/U was tucked into the cliff, and would later move to the far left end of the rock flats. I think I saw 2 tags on a single hind flipper which might indicate Buster, but ????????? With afternoon lighting I saw a couple of small breaks in RK36's chest. D#1 of his molt has commenced, 1%.
At 1047 Duke (RA12) would haul out to the left end near RK36. Gayle called at 1047 with the report of Kaiwi (RK96) at China Walls. Thank you Gayle !!
At 1209 on a pan I found Kolohe (RW22) hauling out to the rocks at the left end of RI, near the U/U, where he remained the rest of the day.
At 0700 Team Billand reported Makaiwi (R4DF) at the fenceline, White Plains.
Melanie checked in at 1329, who was out there on “Access” duty, with the report that Makaiwi was happy and well, and that the crowd was not as insane as usual. The Billands confirmed that she has remained all day.
A DanaMail advised of an animal at Lanikuhonua, Paradise Cove. A Dana text at 1817 advised that it was Pohaku (RO28). Recieved photo confirmation.
Check the blog in the morning for the Billands day. They are working the dark to dark , with no help shift.
