My first pass through the SE quadrant was a bust until Gayle called at 0735 with the report of an animal at Spitting Cave. When I arrived at 0750 it had turned into 2 animals. It would prove to be Kaiwi (RK96) and RK36. They would still be there on my 1300 recheck. RK36 had last been seen at Turtle Bay on 6-2-13. His last SE quadrant visit had been on 5-18-13, also at Spitting Cave.
On my second look at Rabbit Island, at 1008 I found Kainoa (RN04) just hauling out, 60 ft right of 1BS. He would remain the rest of the day, and was the only non-winged resident of RI.
At 0818 they would report Kermit (R012) at Wind Sock. He would be gone on their 1350 recheck.
The Billands did their Ewa Girl & Pup (RS00) duty today, and excitedly related that they had seen a swim session, a feed, a snooze, and a return to the water, with the pup in the lead. This was D#20.
Molokai Di checked in from the outback of Molokai to advise that she was in the presents of my boy Duke (RA12), on Molokai. He'd been off the radar a few days now, and I hoped he was there with Diane. It's comforting to get that confirmation.
At 1350 Team Billands advised that Irma (R010) had hauled out the the east end fence line at White Plains.
The Billands are workin' late, so check da' blog in the morning for their day.
