My first pass was a bust, but at 0705 Kimo came through with the first find of the day, Kaiwi (RK96) doing 7 minute dives at Spitting Cave. She would depart at 0745.
At 0922 Kimo called again to advise that Buster (RV08) had made a brief appearance at Lanai Lookout, but after checking the ledge, and finding nobody he continued his adventure.
On my 1100 Rabbit Island check I found Kainoa (RN04) at the water line, amongst the Kainoa sized rocks, snoozin' away the morning. He would move up with the rising tide, and remained the rest of the day. He was the only visible RI resident today.
I got a call from a posse member at 1130 advising of an animal at Spitting Cave. Gayle was already on her way there, and reported Buster at 1140, however there was only one up.
Team Billand called at 0827. After many a dry day they happily reported M&M (R020) and Kolohe (RW22) together at Maili, Guard Rails Beach.
At 1056 the Billands checked in again to advise that Eileen had called them to report that Kekoa (RK72) was at the Reef Runway. Ewa Girl & Pup were not there on her check.
Dera called at 1545 with info on a few critters. She advised that Dave Ellis from the Bird Refuge reported RI37.
Diane also responded to calls of animals at Kualoa Pt, and Punaluu. A probable R5AY was at Kualoa, and was taken care of so she didn't stop, however on the way back the critter was gone, as was the Punaluu animal.
