5-4-2013 DB's Dailies: Kainoa@RI, Buster@SC&CW, Benny&R018@WP, Irma@WSK, RL42,Kerby,Ka'ena&RIP@KP, Kermit@WP

At 0704 I found Buster (RV08) doing 7-8 minute dives at Spitting Cave. The last time I saw the boy here was 3-20-13.

At 0807 posse member, Trish, called from China Walls advising that an animal had swum through, headed in an SC direction. I remained at SC with Buster for another hour, but never saw another animal. Checks by Teri and Gayle later in the day, also found nothing.

Team T&T (Trish & Todd), my weekend warrior (no.. make that RAINBOW warrior) , China Walls posse people, called at 0923 . Todd actually made the sighting, but Trish made the call. They reported the arrival of "N21" to the zillionaire's backyard at the end of China Walls. I'd last seen him there on 3-18-13.

My first look at Rabbit Island in the early hours was a bust. When I finally got back for another check at 1010 I found my chubby buddy, Kainoa (RN04) at the far left end of the beach. He would be the only RI resident for today.

Team Billand checked in at 0703 to advise that Benny (RE74) and R018 had overnighted at White Plains. They advised that both departed with the rising tide , at 0930.

At 0815 the Billands found Irma (R010) just hauling out to Wind Sock.

At 0930 first contact with the Marilyn & Lesley expedition was made. They reported RL42, 1/3rd of the way in on the Waianae side KP trail.

At Ka'ena Pt, at 1236 they reported Kerby (RW08) at the runway, Ka'ena at the pool further to the right on the Mokuleia side, and upon revisiting the main pool later, found RIP (RR70).
