My first pass through the SE quadrant was a bust. It would be 1055 before I got my first look at Kainoa (RN04). I found it interesting that he hauled out 80 ft right of 3BS. This is his first haul out beyond 2BS in my presence. He foraged for small prey items in a tide pool for a while, and then flopped on his back in the tide pool of a snooze. I lost him at 1150, but would glimpse him again at 1332 foraging in the shallows at the far left end of the island.
Though my morning look and Gayle's mid day look were zero, Kimo came through at 1405 with the report of Kaiwi (RK96), at Lanai Lookout. Kimo would advise of Kaiwi's relocation to Buster Flats on the east side of LL at 1642.
At 0852 Team Billand called to advise that they had received word of an animal at Lagoon #3, KoOlina. They called again at 0913 to advise that responders had confirmed the Haupu (RB24) ID.
Dera called at 1330 with the report of an U/U at Kualoa Pt. When responders arrived there was nobody there. My dollar is definitely on R5AY but ?????
Also at 1330 Dera advised that Eileen had called with the report of a confirmed Kekoa (RK72), and a probable Ewa Girl, but unconfirmed, at Reef Runway.
At 1413 Team Billand reported Kermit (R012) already on the beach, and Buster (RV08) just hauling out to Wind Sock. They had seen Buster briefly this morning, at 0725, off shore of WSK, but lost him. Both Kermit and Buster departed at 1757.
The Billands called at 1453 to advise that they had gotten a report of an animal at Paradise Cove. When they arrived at 1519 they found Benny (RE74), already cordoned off by unknown responders.
