5-21-2013 DBs Dailies :Kainoa,Duke&M38@RI, M&M, Buster&Irma@KCG, Kermit@KR, Benny@Makaha

The first round was a bust, but at 0947, well into my 2nd look at Rabbit Island I finally found a short , fat kid, Kainoa (RN04) just hauling out to 3BS on RI. He would remain there the rest of the day and was the object of the attention of his other two island mates today.

At 0951 Duke (RA12) hauled out to the water front rocks of Rocky Right Beach, and a 1005 RM38 would haul out to join him just briefly. First M38 and then Duke would reenter the water and then both would wind up hauling out to join Kainoa at 3BS. The kid managed to maintain some separation from the bigger guys, and all remained there, 20 ft apart for the rest of the day.

At 0650 Team Billand reported M&M (R020) at "Al's Bench", Kalaeloa Campgrounds. Dennis Lopez reported her departure at 1556.

Also at 0650 the Billands advised that there had been an animal reported at the Makaha Cabana Condos. Resident photos received at 0817, and volunteer photos later, confirmed the Benny (RE74) ID. Dana would report his departure at 1202.

At 0718 Team Billand found Buster (RV08) and Irma (R010) near the Fire Surf School, Kalaeloa Campground. They had very probably overnighted there. At 1421 they were gone.

At 0749 the Billands found Kermit (R012) at Kermit's Reef. At 1421 they found that he had relocated to Wind Sock. At 1734 the Billands advised that Buster stopped by for a few minutes, but continue on his Irma Quest.
