8-24-11 DB Dailies

At 0600 we found Irma&pup at mid beach, mid cordon. Trails indicated that at some point during the night they had been within 4 ft of the fence line, mid cordon. Trails also indicated at a small breed dog had entered the area, and the owner jumped the fence to retrieve said dog. All foot prints ended at the wallow of the fence line stop. . At around eight something (I'v misplaced by note book), Irma and pup moved down to the water, and did several minutes in swimmable depth water. As on previous sessions the kid was struggling with the rising tide. Irma lead the way to the water front rock flats were they did the first of 4 observed feeds, and wher they spent the day, until 1300. Volunteers reported that they entered the water and in a short session in swimmable depth water, and then haule out at around 1330. There stopping point was where the old fence line would have been at the Makapuu side.

At 1045 I finally got to MP. I found Sadie (1129) , 60 ft left of 1BS on RI, and Duke(1114), Kolohe (1054) and Nani (1100) on the right side rocks of SRI.

Dera called at 1129 to advise of an evening call yesterday , about an animal at Mokuleia Beach Park, with fishing line coming from the mouth. Description sounded like possible T15M. I have no further word at this writing.

At around 0800 Team Billand reported RIP (RR70) and M&;M (R020) at Maili Point.   At 1220 the Billands called to say that they had gotten about an animal at White Plains. Vera Cober sent photos of Benny at Tower #1 at WP. At 1503 Team Billand reported Benny (RE74), fronting #1945 at Nimitz Cottages.

In addition to her dawn patrol duties, Lesley also spent the day with R5AY&Pup. Check da' blog in the morning for all her stuffs.  Spoke to Lesley a little while ago, she left TB after 8 pm.... and still was on route home. Needless to say a very long day. If I get an email before I turn in I will post, otherwise look tomorrow for yesterday's news.

Actually, Benny was at Plains from 12:21pm per life guards. Then Vera went to verify id, left, and Benny Relocated to 1945 in the afternoon around...2:40pm. Then while we were with Benny at Nimitz, he left on his own and headed towards Campbells way at 6:00pm. Maybe the Benny is looking for Rocky and Ewa Girl since they are now available for some sugar...he. he.

I have a confession to make: Whenever I run into good old Benny Elton John and his "Benny and the Jets" lyrics start to haunt me (great piano piece by the way). Rocky and Ewa Girl might volunteer as the Jets?
