8-25-11 DB Dailies and more

When the dawn patrol arrived at 0600 we found Irma&Pup 40 ft away from the Makapuu end fence line. I set up a temporary cordon with cones, signs and rope to keep folks back until they decided to move into the water. That move came at 0730. They moved down into the swim area they have been using the last couple of days, but today, unlike previous days the session lasted about a half and hour. The pup seemed more comfortable in the water today. Irma was ready to haul out after only a few minutes of water time, but the kid wasn't interested in hauling out, so she returned to the water. They finally hauled out to the usual water front rock flats at 0810, and did a feed. In previous days that would have been the end of the excitement for the day, however, today the kid made a beeline for the water again as soon as the feed was over, so it was back to the swim area to the Makapuu side of the rock flats. This session ran from 0844 till 0917, when they hauled out again to the flats.

I finally got to Makai Pier at 1046 and found Nani (RK60), and Kolohe (RW22) on the water front rocks, right of Seal Rock Inlet on Rabbit Island. At 1202 Duke hauled out to the other two, and from 1213 until 1259 all three did a swim/ play session. All three hauled out together at 1259 to the right side of Seal Rock Inlet, and snooze time was immediate.

At 1157 Dana called to advise that she had found Kekoa (RK72) on her 1000-1200 , Reef Runway session.

Team Billand found RIP RR70) and M&M (R020) together again at Maili Point at 0930.  At 1015 the found Benny (RE74) fronting #1708 at White Plains.  At 1115 the found Ewa Girl (RS00), fronting #1775 at White Plains.
