3-3-2011 V014 Earns His Tags 5EW/5EX

So this little boy from somewhere got his official red flipper tags... 5EW 5EX, now as DB mentioned and many of us thought... that looks like SEX, however being the little tyke that he is.... his reaction to that would probably be EW! So they got it right.... No doubt he'll grow up to be a studly sexy seal!
too young to be sexy so he's just adorable.
Not too shabby of a haul out, although if the beach was packed.. well thats another story.
 He's just a baby...

Its been quite a day with the monks. It started off with 2AW in Nanakuli, off to Ko Olina with the sweet, tiny, skinny V014. Waited for the team to tag this little baby. He remained on shore after his tagging, beyond 6:50pm. We were concerned for him and the folks that were coming to see this charmer, still on shore. We hesitantly took the ropes away for the night. We saw folks waiting for the opportunity to run in and take photos of the seal. We just didnt want to leave V014, but, we did. I cant believe he stayed after his capture and tagging, most seals just take off..PERIOD.
And we were so upset a kite surfer ran into Makaiwi. She had been on shore all day herself, in peace. I hope she is ok, she was gone upon our late check...we were with Kermit. It was a pretty good day, we educated all that came. The day turned by late afternoon...you just know what the plans are of those that come at closing time...TO GET UP IN THE SEALS FACE with their cell phones...as soon as we leave. Sure hope Makaiwi is ok...we will certainly check on her tomorrow. And as for VO14....will he show up at Ko olina tomorrow???? Wherever he goes, I want to be with him too. I hope the seal angels are watching over them.

Its gonna be another anniversary NOT SEEING MAX. I miss him till this very day of June 14, 2013. I think of him often, miss his sweet ways, too bad we dont know what happened to him.

He brought me such joy when we would find him and he spread his joy to all who came to view him.

I wish with my heart and soul, someday on some Island, a volunteer will report seeing him again. I will jump for joy when that happens.

He remains in my heart....FOREVER.

May the seal angels be with you sweet MAX R5EW/R5EX. I so miss you.
