3-25-11 DB Dailies

At 0706 I found RIP (RR70), 80 ft left of 1BS, on Rabbit Island. He would enter the water at 1143, and hauled out at Seal Rock Inlet at 1157.

At 0820 , when I got back to Makai Pier, I found that Duke (RA12) had joined the cast on the water front rocks, 50 ft left of Seal Rock Inlet.

At 0855, RM38 hauled out of Seal Rock Inlet and moved to join Duke. They would both move up and then back down to Seal Rock Inlet, and remained near the water line the rest of the day. At 1157 they were joined by RIP. M38 moved off a bit, but remained in the area. There was no interaction.

On a routine pan I found Kolohe (RW22) just moving out of the deep Morning Glory at 3BS. I'd had no clue that he was there. He moved down near the water line and remained the rest of the day.

It was a routine , action packed day for Team Billand. They reported Kermit (R4DG) at Wind Sock at 0816. On an afternoon recheck they found that Kermit had moved a bit, and had been visited by a small kid and a dog. They did some Monk Seal 101,with the people.

At 0940 they reported Noa (R6FI) once again at Maili Point.  At 1022 they found R2AW at Electric Beach.
They got a call about an animal hauling out to the Ewa Beach side of the east end perimeter fence at White Plains. When they arrived at 1042 they found Makaiwi (R4DF)  A call at 1107 sent the Billands off to Iroquois Point. when they arrived at 1135 they found  Rocky (RH58)

Posse member Martha , from Hanauma Bay, called at 1121 to advise that a boater had called Hanauma Bay to report that a seal with a "13" on the side had swum near their boatd, off shore of Pearl Harbor. Why Hanauma Bay we shall never know. Since there is no animal with an N13 at the moment, and since the caller made no mention of an "N", I'm guessin' that they probably met Irma (R010) with her N3 bleach and misread it. She is in that area now, and that is where my dollar is goin', but ??????

Marilyn went to the End of the World today, from 1025 until 1300. The Ka'ena Point finds upon arrival were Kerby (RW08) and CeeCee(T401). The biggy find of the day however was finding Ka'ena (RO40) just hauling out. He had last been seen on 11-20-10 by Marilyn at KP. Since then a conversation with Tracy, on 2-11-11 provided news that he had possibly been seen on Kauai. We are sooooooo happy to report that Irma's #3 son is Home !!!

Team Billand checked in at 1800 to advise that Barbara turns 21 years old today, so they are on their way to OutBack to celebrate. They'll be home late so check da' blog in the morning for the Billand's amazing shots.
Happy Birthday Barbara!  Wishing you many many more and may your wishes come true.
