3-12-11 DB Dailies

Duke was my first find of the day, tucked in behind a log at 3BS on Rabbit Island, at 0725. 

Also at 0725 came calls , 30 seconds apart, from posse members Jack and Martha advising that Irma was just hauling out to the east end of Sandy Beach. When I arrived at 0732, there was Irma , snoozin' just above the water line. I got her cordoned off and she remained the rest of the day, with posse member Alice close by. When I arrived at Sandy Beach at 1753 I found that Irma was gone. Witnesses said she had departed 5 minutes ago, due to the rising tide getting to her.

I found Kolohe newly hauled out to the water front rocks of Seal Rock Inlet on RI at 1003. He would remain there the rest of the day. He and Duke had the place all to themselves today.

Team Billand checked in at 0750 with the report of Kermit fronting #1708 at White Plains. Barbara called at 1711 to advise that Kermit had departed do to an encounter......... ........

Their next call at 0957 brought news of Makaiwi and M&M close together at Palm Grove, Campbell

Industrial Park.

Dana called at 1111 to advise that an ID was confirmed for Right Spot at Rock Piles on the North Shore.

Dera called at 1229 to advise of an animal at Laniakea. The Honu folks were taking care of it. A call from Dana at 1439 advised that posse member Kelly, had confirmed the KC ID. Dana called at 1815 to advise that KC had departed at 1800.

Marilyn did the Ka'ena Point trek, and was bummed when she found nobody at the point. She was 15 minutes away from the Mokuleia side parking lot on her return trip when she found RI37 at 1212.
