All Points Bulletin for RW30

Aloha All,

This past week, a NOAA Fisheries response team was on Molokai and we searched for RW30 in an effort to remove the fish hook that is shown in the attached photo. After 3 days, she was not located so once again, we are asking you to be on the lookout for her and to advise friends and family of the situation.

If she is located, please call Dera Look at 808-220-7802 and me at (808) 567-6595. If sited, any photos would be of great importance but please remember to keep a distance as to not disturb or awaken her.

I plan on making 2 trips a week to La’au Pt. and if anyone is interested in going along, feel free to contact me. It would be a good idea to cover the Hale O’Lono Harbor area to La’au Pt. also. I would go along with anyone wanting to make that trek too.

Please help get the word out so we can find RW30 before any further damage or injury occurs.

Mahalo for your help.

Did they ever find RW30 and remove the hook?

This is a good question. ANY ONE have any updates or news on RW30. Molokai folks? Anyone?

RW30 has been sighted without the hook on more than one occasion since the late August response effort. It appears it had come out on its own somehow - what a blessing. Great work Diane and the Moloka'i hui in tracking her down!
