April 19. 2025 Saturday's Dailies

Today's dailies are brought to you by Marilyn and Team R&B💕

Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island from 11:30 to 1:05 pm and there were six seals seen during that time.
In their usual location on the 1BS side of LPB were MO3 and her one week old pup PO3.  The pup was mostly hidden behind mom for the first hour. Possible nursing sessions during that time. The PO3 moved around mom and got washed in the waves a few time. Once PO3 returned to mom they moved up shore for another snooze.
RF34 Pua and PO4 were initially hidden behind water front rocks in their usual location at Middle Cliff.
They moved up and PO4 nursed for a while. Pua's right rear scar was very visible. Both mom and pup seem to be doing well.
Between 3BS and SRI were two seals. On the beach near the waterfront rocks was a Sub-adult Male: sub-adult size, mottled brown male belly, unsure about tags.
Up on the rocks was an adult male that Marilyn believes to be RK24 Bruno based on his adult size, light tan belly with some green and a scar on his lower lip. At about 12:45, the SM moved up next to RK24 and seemed to startle him. They both settled and went into snooze mode.

Team R&B had an overall slow seal day.
When they first got to pokai they spotted a seal approaching the front of the jetty. They looked away for a min and then lost sight of the seal.
Later they saw a seal coming in from the water in front of the rocks. It was the beautiful lady, Miss Kala RH76. She hauled in cautiously, looking around for a spot to haul out. She came up slowly with help of the waves moving her plump body up on the rocks. She headed for her zen area and went to sleep.

They got a message from a friend that a seal hauled up at plains. So off they went and when they arrived they were happy to find a seal resting.  It was the lovely Aukai RL12 resting in a zone set up for her by the lifeguards.
