9/18/2010 DB Dailies

I found nobody on my first pass through the quadrant, but on my recheck of Kaupo Beach Park, at 0656,I totally lucked out and just happened look in the right place at the right time, and found Irma and Benny just hauling out near the pump house on the pier end of KBP. I got them cordoned off, and then did lots of PR. At 1259 , with the rising tide, Irma decided to enter the water and of course Benny was right behind. The scuffled a bit in the tide pool and then began moving down the beach front , in shallow water. At 1313 they hauled out to yesterday's location, at the pier end of KPB. I cordoned them off, and then returned to the original site and picked up the stuff. They have remained there all afternoon.
Irma and Benny departed KBP of their own volition at 1820.

At 0949 I found Duke at the far left end of the beach on Rabbit Island. He was to be the only RI resident today.

Team Billand called at 0633 to report Makaiwi, back home at the Nimitz cottages. Makaiwi would depart at 1415.

Jen Christian called at 0938 to advise that KC was no longer at the MCBH site.

The Billand's called at 1534 to say that their NIM posse people went to TB to see Ua Malie, but went the wrong way and ended up at the stables, finding a molting seal. No ID yet. TB security was aware. A conversation with Dana suggested that the animal has been there the past two days. The posse members confirmed that the animal was definitely there today. Dera called at 1751 to advise that there was a seal at the stables.

Incidently, during that conversation Dera mentioned that Mimi had told her that R5AY is vacationing on Kauai.

Per Dana, Ua Malie spent the day on the TB side of the point.
