I got back to Makai Pier at 0835, and at 0906 M&M hauled out to the far left end of the beach. Kolohe would join her at 0956, and Duke join the crew at 1003.
At 1105, Sam hauled out to join the gang. He and Kolohe interacted on the beach, and then did a swim/play session from 1124 until 1219 when Kolohe rejoined M&M and Duke. Sam would haul out at 1249 100 ft left of 1BS.
When Ewa Girl departed so early, I thought there was a possibility she might do a Hanauma Bay trip. I departed the pier at 1350, to go to Hanauma Bay, and as I was doing a Blowhole check at 1357, posse member Ethel called with the report of an animal on the left side rock flats at Hanauma Bay. At 1415 I confirmed Ewa Girl. Her D#6 molt is 75%. The Lifeguards, and the HB rangers never had a clue she was there. Ethel wins the turkey !!! Ewa Girl left of her own volition at 1445.
Dera called at 1525 with the report of an animal at Haleiwa Beach Park. Todd White confirmed that it was Lona at 1603. Speaking of Lona, she was sighted by divers at Shark's Cove on 8-30-10.

Now that is what I call AWESOME shots of a Legendary seal Ewa Girl. Look at how she molts, large pieces coming off at one time, not slow little pieces. Wow, good job DB. Amazing how Ewa Girl keeps leaving, moving about..its beneficial to getting all that fur off faster. She is one Awesome seal...dont fool with Miss Ewa Girl.
