April 20, 2025 Sunday's Dailies

Todays dailies are brought to you by Marilyn and Team R&B on this Easter Sunday.

Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island from 12:19 to 2:29 and there were just the mom and pup pairs.
MO3 and PO3 were again near the waterline on the 1BS side of LPB. They spent much of the time snoozing with the pup hidden behind mom. Then PO3 went down and got in the water with mom watching closely and occasionally bellowing for the pup to return. Later the pup moved up next to mom and went into play mode. Both mom and pup seem to be doing fine.
RF34 Pua and PO4 were nursing when Marilyn first arrived. They then went into a long snooze, before moving up the beach. Then PO4 played, wandered away from mom and then returned to her.  Both appear to be doing fine.

Team R&B were out early so they could get to their luncheon today. On their first stop there were no seals, but plenty of fishers out. Then out of nowhere the whales showed up. There were about five of them, which raised a little concern for the kayaks out there.

At another west side location they saw Miss Kala RH76 alone on the rocks. Then she moved near seal inlet. She seem to anticipating another seal or something in the area. Team R&B never saw any other seals while they were there.

Lastly but not least they stopped at rails to find RP28 Wakea. They almost missed him, since he was hidden in the rocks. Thankfully they saw him and his tags to get an ID. They left hoping the people in the area would leave him alone.
