At 0901 Buster hauled out 60 ft left of 1BS, at the left end of the beach. He would snooze away the day at that location. We were both surprised when little brother, Sam hauled out to join him at 1255. There was minimal interaction, and both remained there together the rest of the day.
At 1156 Sandy Beach Lifeguard, posse member Dovovan called to report an animal, newly hauled out to the east end of the beach. When I arrived at 1201, I found Irma. I cordoned her off, and adjusted the cordon a couple of times with the rising tide. She has remained there the rest of the day.
Team Billand called at 0803 at Wind Sock, Kalaeloa Beach. She departed of her own volition at 0826.
Barbara called again at 1613 to say they were responding to a call about 2 seals at Maili Pt, one with a transmitter. We'll never know. The animals were run off before Team Billand arrived. Further search turned up nothing, as of this writing
Since I am making the airport run, I'll have to send the dailies off a bit early today, so check da' blog in the morning for the photos of Team Billand's adventures.
