Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island from 12:40 to 1:36 pm and there were eight seals seen during that time. A seal party!

Near the waterline in the 1BS side of LPB was MO3 and her pup PO3. They were almost entirely in snooze mode with little activity. Both Mom and pup seem fine.

At their usual place the 3BS side of middle cliff were RF34 Pua and PO4. The pup was mostly in snooze mode. Mom did move up some and the pup followed once it woke up.

Initially alone between 3BS and SRI was an Unknown Juvenile 1: juvenile size, unsure about sex or tags.

About 1 pm Unknown Juvenile 2 hauled out of the water and moved up and nudged UJ 1. Then UJ 2 rolled over and moved a short distance away and went into snooze mode. UJ2: juvenile size, possible female belly but not sure and no info on tags.

Up from SRI were two seals:

Sub-adult Male: sub-adult size, dark coat, dark male belly, unsure about tags. This could be the same SM that was between 1BS and 2BS yesterday.

Next to the SM was an Adult Female: adult size, tan female belly, unsure about tags. She never changed position, Marilyn could not see if she had a scar on her lower neck/chest area.

Team R&B arrived at pokai and they didn't see any seals right away.  Then they spotted one in the water and while getting their photos the seal suddenly started thrashing.  It was hooked and it was trying to toss the line. The fisher reeled it into the rocks, the seal was combative then was over. Seems the fisher cut the line. Team R&B waited to try and get an ID, finally the seal was heading in their direction.  They're pretty sure it was RH32 Kaale. He hauled out at the zen area, no fishing gear that they could see, no tear in or around his mouth.  He stayed for about an hour and then took off.

For the third day in a row, they found little RP28 Wakea. He was straddled over the rocks, hmmmm oh so comfortable. He seems to be doing just fine.

Heading off to another west side location they found two seals. Seem Kaale RH32 made his way over and found Kala RH76. The two of them were on the rocks.  Guess after his trauma he needed to be in the company of a sweet lady.
