Rabbit Island Wednesday 3/35/2026

I viewed Rabbit Island from Makai Pier from 11:56 am to 1:22 pm. It was mostly sunny with frequent passing clouds and moderate to brisk winds.

There was only one HMS seen on RI during my viewing session.

About 60 feet Makapuu side of the 3BS was an Adult Male (AM): adult size, older coat, tannish-brown male belly; no info on tags. I'm attaching three photos the the AM.

Kalanianaole Hwy is still being contra flowed between Sea Life Park and Makai Pier. The sinkhole that developed on Monday was really a landslide on the makai side of the road. DOT has poured a lot of rocks on the slope down to the ocean and is reconstructing the road. It looks like they are about half down with the repair.
