Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island from 1:58 to 3:26 pm and there were two seals seen during that time.
When she started viewing there was only a single seal near the SRI channel. This seal is labeled Sub-adult Unknown: sub-adult to small adult size, older coat, no info on sex or tags. This seal may have a shallow pit scar at the base of the LFF. If it does this might be TempN25.
At 2:07 a seal hauled out down from the 3BS. This seal is labeled asSub-adult Female: sub-adult size, yellow female belly and two red tags.
Marilyn thinks there is one Masked Booby is nesting on the outer crater rim. She saw a few Wedge-tailed Shearwaters flying around.
Team R&B started out on the west side. They searched the area for an hour and came up empty. They saw a heron and when they were taking photos, they were surprised to see RM31 Kai appeared. He hauled up to his spot on the rocks and remained there all day.
They also saw a turtle on shore and aa mocking bird in the tree.
Next they headed over to kahe and the stench was awful. They were almost afraid to look,. The whale carcass is still there and the sharks were out feeding off of it.
They did see two seals on the rocks. It was RK72 Kekoa Alii and RG32 together to the left side.
They decided to make their way over to plains. When they arrived they found the handsome R407 Kawika. He was alone today resting peacefully. Wonder where all the girls have gone, hopefully somewhere safe to give birth.
