They started their day on the west side and was happy to see their little guy N45 Na'au. He was alone high up on shore. There were people who stopped to see him. Team R&B did a lot of educating showing pictures of the little guy. People asked why no one was feeding him? They explained that he finds his own food along with the face he is protected under the Marine Mammal Protection act as well as the Endangered Species act. Feeding, approaching, bothering him in anyway is against the law.
Also on the west side they found Miss Kala RH76 resting in her zen space. There was not as much foam as there was yesterday. They saw a woman come up with a sign that said Parking for Police. She stuck the sign in the rocks and then left. Team R&B told the janitor about the sign and he saw it. The sign looks new, but one wonders if its suppose to be there, or did she move it from somewhere else?
Next they made their way to plains and found R407 Kawika alone in a zone that was set up by the lifeguards. They were really surprised to see the area so clean, not full of debris like the Waianae Coast line. The was was clean too, not brown. An added bonus was the sun was out and blue skies. They hadn't seen the sun for days.
Lastly they saw the Iwa birds flying in the Kahe area. They have been seeing them the last few days. They were thrilled to see them again today.
