January 6, 2026 Tuesday's Dailies

Todays dailies are brought to you by Marilyn and Team R&B 💕

Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island from 12:24 to 2:15 pm and there were three seals seen during that time.

Directly down from where a Unknown Sub-adult was seen yesterday was seal Marilyn is labeling Sub-adult Male: sub-adult size, yellow ventral male, and at least one red tag (probably two). The trails to and from the dunes to the waterfront are visible.

Between Middle Cliff and 3BS was a Juvenile Unknown: small juvenile size, yellow ventral, sex not determined, and at least one red tag.

Initially near the waterline down from 3BS was an Adult Unknown: adult size, two red tags, not sure about sex.

Team R&B started out at pokai with another morning of cloudy skies. They did see one seal foraging. It was R3CX Nalu and he was alone. They had an appointment and will check back later.

Later they were thrilled to find their big old boy RK72 Kekoa was on the rocks. They saw his tags and noted he has a beautiful new coat. He

still has the bumps on his back, a scar on his right face. Last time they saw him he as so green and now 100% molted all shiny.

And just below was the old dude R407 Kawika. They saw his left eye scar, his cc scar on his back, and his beautiful natural bleach on his left side and no tags. They were happy to see him here and away from the Nimitz area.

Near the outfall they saw some folks following a seal with a green snout. The seal was sub-adult size and female. They were able to ID RS32. She was being followed by RM31 Kai. They did their best to

get photos without all the people. The two seals were very busy playing.

They made their way to white plains after their appointment. There was the big beautiful RL12 Aukai on shore in a zone put up by the lifeguards. Big kudos to the lifeguards for setting up a zone for her.

Making their way to recheck pokai they watched over the water and they spotted R3CX Nalu. They also saw a smaller seal, sub-adult size, with a green snout. The seal had red tags but they couldn't make them out. The seal is being reported as an Unknown Sub-adult.
