Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island from 1:10 to 2:44 pm and there were two seals seen during that time.
The two seals were about 20 feet apart on the Lanikai side of the 3BS:
The one closest to the Middle Cliff was a Juvenile Unknown: larger juvenile size, older coat, at least and probably two tags, lighter ventral, no info on sex. The JU may have a scar on the right side of the mouth.
Not far away, was a Juvenile Female: juvenile size, light yellow female belly, not sure about tags.
Team R&B started their day at pokai. They found the lovely Miss Kala RH76. She was alone in a smallpond resting.
They spotted a seal hauling up on shore at electric beach. They determined the seal was RN14 Kalani.
When they did a recheck later on in the day he was still there, along with some fans.
Team R&B made there way to white plains. They were happy to find Miss Aukai RL12. She was in a zone alone on shore. She was resting peacefully enjoying the sunshine.
Making their way back to Kahe they found an adult male. They have a hard time making an ID with this male, but thankfully they figured it out. It was R617 on the rocks looking good. He's a handsome seal with hardly any markers, and no tags.
After a long day, they went to yoks. They didn't find any other seals, but the whales were out doing they're thing. Along with the whales the surfers were enjoying the waves, which always amazing to watch.
