They started their day at pokai and initially there were no seals. What seemed like forever finally they spotted a seal passing by, heading over to forage.
The waves were huge, rough and the water was very dirty with leaves, boat parts and brown water.
The waves on the west side were big. Team R&B reminisced of growing up at Makaha and picking up the big boards for the surfers. They would stand them up in the ground so the surfers could find them. This was before the boards had bungie leashes.
The surfers were out and having a great run.
Well then there was poor RL08 at the greenery, trying to rest. He was high up on shore. There were people who kept closely passing by. He would keep looking and posturing at the folks.
One guy really guy really was an idiot, RL08 kept rolling over, barking, turning to face the guy. While others thought it was funny.
RL08 defended his spot, just kept barking at folks, moving in the end. He stayed but moved down.
Over at electric beach, they saw lots of folks out and about. Then they spotted a seal, it was an adult male. They could not make an ID. The Unknown Male finally left the area.
They spotted an adult seal foraging off the outfall. The seal didn't have any tags and had a scar on right side of head. They think maybe it might be RN14 Kalani.
The icing on the cake was sighting some whales.
