January 19, 2026 Monday's Dailies

Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island from 11:57 am to 1:56 pm and there were three seals seen during that time.

About 50 feet Makapuu side of the 1BS was a Juvenile Female: juvenile size, old coat with some green, two red tags, brownish female belly.

About 30 feet Makapuu side of the 3BS was a Juvenile Unknown: juvenile size, two red tags, light tan ventral (probably female) but Marilyn just wasn't sure to call it.

Out on RRB was a Sub-adult Unknown: sub-adult size, yellowish ventral (not sure about sex), not sure about tags. This is probably a female, but Marilyn just couldn't be sure. This is probably the same SU in the same area as yesterday.

Team R&B first find at pokai was Miss RH76 Kala. She was alone on the water front rocks. They saw she was looking at something, then they saw one of the homeless men drawing her. They said it was a good drawing.

At another west side location they found two seals hauled out on separate rocks. They ID'd one of them as RW02 PvKauai. Nice to see him back in the neighborhood again. They weren't sure who the other seal was, a male with a ding on its back. The seal didn't move to give them any clues so it was reported as an Unknown Adult. (They though possibly RP30)

While scanning the areas they saw a seal haul out at electric beach.

The seal was an adult with lots of cc scars which told them it was R604.

Shortly after anothe seal arrived. This delighted all the people on the beach. They ID'd RN14 Kalani joining R604.

Over at the outfall they spotted an adult seal foraging. They're not sure who the seal was but possibly RH32, who was very close to some of the snorkelers.

At Kahe they saw an Adult seal swimming by heading in a westerly direction. They saw it had a scar on its head, maybe RG32. The seal didn't land while they were watching.

Lastly there was another seal! It was RK72 Kekoa Alii! There were two fishers on the rocks and Kekoa was aware of them. The father of the fishers came over and told the boys to leave.
