December 12, 2025 Fridays Dailies

Todays dailies are brought to you by Marilyn and Team R&B💕

Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island from 1:05 to 2:50 pm and there were three seals seen during that time. Marilyn got word from one of the pier employees there were two seals swimming along the pier in the morning. He had no idea who they were.
Initially out on the rock flats Lanikai side of the LPB was a Sub-adult Male: sub-adult to large juvenile size, light tan male belly and two red tags. The seal moved to the back of LPB. Marilyn wondered if this
could be RT90 Manapua.
In the middle of LPB was a Weaner Female: small weaner size, tan female belly, two red tags. A bird stayed near this small seal. Marilyn wasn't sure if it was a Noddy Tern or some other species.
Between 3BS and SRI was N32: large adult size, darker coat, dark male belly, no tags N32 applied bleach.

Team R&B started their day at Pokai and this morning found Miss Kala RH76 with RU04 on the rocks. The two girls were snoozing and
thankfully no one was bothering them. They remained there all day.
They spotted two seals foraging out in the water. One was Nalu R3CX and he was with a small seal with a green snout, who turned out to be RU12. Little RU12 did her own fishing today keeping distance from Nalu.

Over at the outfall there were multiple seals foraging. At times they weren't sure of the two seals together hugging. But they determined the seals were RH48 Lei Ola, RM31 Kai and RL08 with the cc scars.

Then they found big boy RH32 Kaale at Kahe. He was alone on the rocks resting  peacefully.

Lastly but not least they spotted a seal on shore at yoks. When they checked it out the seal is molting and they made a circle in the sand to let people know to keep their distance. Finally the seal flipped over and they ID'd RG28 Lefty and he's about 60% molted.  Team R&B stuck around to keep him safe and educating the public.
