Marilyn did the Ka'ena Point trek with a couple of friends. Ultimately they saw six seals today.

At Hidden Beach they found RG28 Lefty high up on the beach next to the rocks and naupaka: adult size, older coat, male belly, scar on right rear side. He did not show tags, and she did not see his RFF. He was still there when they were on their way out.

Marilyn's camera battery died so she used her iPhone for the rest of the day.

In the main pool in the KP NAR was RW02 PvKauai: adult size, new coat, three rear flipper tags, male belly. He snoozed the entire time they were there.

There multiple seals near Camp Erdman:

Near each other were:

RL47 Kamakana: adult side, male belly, two tags and 

RN58 Luana: adult size, lighter female belly, old N58 bleach on her rear dorsal.

About 40 feet from them was R330 Squinty: adult size, newer coat, 3CB tag showing.

About 200 yards further in the Mokuleia direction was RT98 Eha snoozing away: juvenile size, light female belly, T98 tag.

Team R&B had a late start today, they went to pick up the junior sealettes aka grandkids.

Their first find was Miss Kala RH76. She was alone snoozing in the rocks.  

They stuck around for awhile and spotted R3CX Nalu coming in and foraging.  

While onsite they witnessed the Royal Hawaiian folks all dressed in their beautiful cloaks. There was some kind of ceremony. They walked to the right and a few men came up blew the conk shell and chanted.  There was an unfortunate interaction with a homeless woman yelling at them. Shame they were interrupted. Team R&B didn't stay much longer.

Next they headed over to the beach to look for shells and play in the water with the kids. When they got to Makaha they found RL42 Leia in her spot. To her right was a big turtle. Their grandkids were super excited to see this. As Team R&B were taking photos they noticed the turtle had a hook embedded in its neck. They spoke to a couple on the beach who were going to call in the turtle.

They made one last stop and spotted three seals foraging by the outfall. They were able to ID RH48 Lei Ola, RM31 Kai and the other seal had a cc scar which makes them think it is RL08.
