December 29. 2025 Monday's Dailies

Todays dailies are brought to you by Team R&B💕

Team R&B started their day at Pokai and waited for over an hour with no sign of seals. They spotted a seal way out coming in. They were able to ID R3CX Nalu, who quickly disappeared. They never saw him again. Meanwhile there are still signs up warning of polluted water.

Over at Kahe they found two seals on the rocks. Kai RM31 was to the left and RG32 was to the right. RG32 was in the same spot as yesterday.  Along with the seals they saw some dolphins doing what
they do best, having fun.
Checking out the outfall they spotted multiple seals foraging. Team R&B spent quite awhile studying the seals to get their IDs. They were able to ID RH48 Lei Ola, RL08 and an Unknown Adult.
While spending time studying the seals they got to see the whales put on a show. Although the whales were further out they got to see an amazing breach.

Team R&B spotted a seal hauled up on shore at tracks. All was good,
no dogs, but then people showed up. Team R&B couldn't make a positive ID on the seal they think it is a female, but not sure. Reported as an Unknown.

Lastly they took a ride out to yoks. They found one seal on shore, no signs up but lots of tracks from a quad. The seal is a male, no tags, ding on left shoulder and a natural bleach spots on right by flipper. They believe this is R427, who is difficult to ID. Last time they saw him he was very green and going through his molt. This male is newly
molted.
Sadly they were upset that the lifeguard passed on his quad close to the seal. At one point it was close enough that the seal postured with its mouth open. Maybe the lifeguard was responding to something.
