08/27/2020 Thursday Lesley's Ka'ena Update

 It was a busy day out here but I managed to get some seal sightings

First one was little RL74 Kami at Back Beach - it seemed she overnighted. I checked on her a couple of times, but as high tide hit her, she left.

Next was R330 Squinty near the waterline on Main Beach he spent all day there.

The 3rd seal was RE74 Benny. I spotted him first swimming thru Ka'ena's Pool, he left it, did every nook and creek all the way to Main Pool. He did a big Benny entrance stretching out like a sea lion, went straight to where to Squinty was. Squinty was spooked said ONE big word to Benny. He backed up and swam around to Back Beach. There he did the same sneaked up on Kami. She was spooked, gave one bark and he backed off and left. I did not see him again.
