Diane & I spend it together. I'm still trying to figure out how I flew from the bottom of Birth Beach up to the outlook, where Diane was getting ready to go hike, yelling get in the car....
After the all clear we decided to go ahead and do our hike out to the point. The waves were growing as the morning was advancing.
We found RN58 "Luana" hauled out at Hidden Beach - on our way back she was no longer there.
At the point RO40 "ka'ena"14 "Molokai" were hauled up mid way up Back Beach. Hikers told us there was a third seal in the water. Shortly after a big seal started the galumph up the beach, it was RR70 "Rip"
There wasn't much interaction. Every time the waves came up to them they would move a little further up the beach. I wouldn't be surprised if they overnight up in the Naupakas.
The albatrosses were enjoying the wind and the visitors and us the gigantic was from West and North crashing into each other then washing up the beaches. We did lots of outreach.
Glad it wasn't time to see "the light"
Little RN14 from Molokai
