Gayle sent a photo that was forwarded to her by a friend whose granddaughter spotted the seal and took the photo. We don't have any information on the seal but based on the location I am going to say a good guess is Rocky. Magic Island is one of her favorite haul outs.
Team Billand could see two critters off shore at Nanakai Beach. One seal came in and they were able to ID RK36. The other critter was young looking with a clean coat but they were unable to get an ID. RK36 "Kauai Kolohe" was alone all day. The hotline was informed.
At Maili Team Billand spotted a seal coming up on the rocks to the left and ID'd by his tags RN14. He stopped, looked around, then galumphed off back into the ocean.
While driving eagle eye Robert spotted a seal on shore at Puka Pants Beach, They pulled over and found RW02 PvKauai on shore. There were foot prints near him, folks camping out. But while they were there no one bothered him.
Checking back at Maili they found Kekoa RK72 in the water hole getting ready to take off. They managed to get a couple of shots and confirm his ID, before Kekoa headed back to the water.
There were two critters swimming off shore and never landed, they kept moving in the direction towards Honolulu. Although they tried they never were able to get any ID.
