At 0755 Marilyn called with the report of Rocky (RH58) foraging at Spitting Cave.
On my first look at Rabbit Island at 0800 I found the U/M of the last few days, fronting 3BS. Though he would remain all day, I was still not able to confirm an ID.
At 0853 Kainoa (RN04) hauled out of Seal Rock Inlet, and galumphed up to the Naupaka. He would later move down to cool off, and has remained all day.
On a pan at 1033 I found what would prove to be RM38, once again on the water front rocks, right of Seal Rock Inlet. ID was by his posterior dorsal abscess.
At 1152 Gayle called with the report of Rocky (RH58) doing her Hippo imitation at Irma’s Grotto, Kokee Flats. Linda N., checked in at 1443 to advise that Rocky was now sunning, belly up, on the flats next to her pool. She called again at 1533 to advise that Rocky was departing in a Spitting Cave direction. Her departure , no doubt, having something to do with the loud, frolicking people in the pool next to Rocky’s location. Sad !!!
At 1228 what would prove to be Aukai (RL12) hauled out fronting 1BS, on RI.
Team Billand checked in at 0614 with the report of an animal at Paradise Cove, With a little light at 0623 they confirmed the Haupu (RB24) ID. Volunteer Warren advised that Haupu departed at 1450.
