Also at 0715 I found what would prove to be Kainoa (RN04) at the log, 40 ft left of 1BS. Actually, this U/M had gone up into the Morning Glory to check him out, but moved back down to the beach.
Lastly, at 0715 I found what would prove to be Aukai (RL12) at Seal Rock Inlet.
At 0815 , the U/M (2) of the past few days, hauled out to join Aukai. They would enter the water at 0842
At 0954 Aukai & the U/M(2) appeared in the shore break fronting 1BS. Both Kainoa & the U/M (1) scurried down, and all entered the water and disappeared.
U/M (2) hauled out to the far left end at 1037, and at 1038 U/M#1 hauled out at the point of Left Point Beach, and immediately began galumphing toward the other U/M. There was some minimal interaction, and the both settled down for the day, moving nearer the water line.
On a pan at 1234 I spied a likely looking rock , near the shore line, 40 ft right of 1BS. It would prove to be Kainoa.
On a pan at 1140 I found what would prove to be RM38 on the right side of Seal Rock Inlet.
Gayle called at 1111 with the report of Kaiwi (RK96)(1111) at China Walls.
At 0857 the Billands received word from both Dana, and volunteer, BJ of an animal in Lagoon#4, KoOlina. They confirmed the Haupu (RB24) ID at 0920. The Billands advised that Haupu has never hauled out, remaining in the lagoon. Mark Sullivan responded to assess. Awaiting further word.
At 1504 The Billands found RIP (RR70) at Maili Point,
Aukai and UM
UM and Kainoa
Kaiwi at China Walls
Haupu at KoOlina sneaking up
Clearly she has no respect swimmer's zone... and she's looking pretty smug about it
I am sure at this moment everyone was having a mini heart attack
