9/1/2014 DB's Dailies: Kaiwi@LL, Aukai,Kainoa&Nani@RI, Buster@SB, Pohaku@Nanakuli, T21M@Hauula

At 0714 I found an overnighted Kaiwi (RK96) on Buster Flats, Lanai Lookout.

 Marilyn called with what turned out to be a swimming head, in travel mode, passing through Spitting Cave. She did not see the critter again, nor did Melanie, Diane&Gabby Gabriel during their visits.

 At 0908 I found Aukai (RL12) on the water front rocks just right of 1BS on Rabbit Island. She would enter the water at 1140, only to haul out again to Seal Rock Inlet, at 1252. On a pan at 1106 I found Kainoa (RN04) hauling out to Rocky Right Beach, RI.

 At 1127 posse member Carla called with the report of an animal just hauling out to the Blowhole end of Sandy Beach. When I arrived at 1147 I found and cordoned off Buster (RV08). He would move a bit later but Carla and Maili were kind enough to adjust the cordon. Melanie did some adjustments also. Carla called at 1647 to advise that Buster was departing.

 At 1426 Nani (RK60) hauled out at Seal Rock Inlet to join Aukai.

 At 1240 HFD dispatch called with the report of an animal in Punaluu. That would prove to be incorrect. Diane & Gabby just happened to be visiting the pier (she is my Avocado Pusher).... I’m a hopeless addict!. Diane graciously took the call, and at 1517 reported T21M (7GZ) in Hauula.

 At 0614 Team Billand found Pohaku (RO28) at Nanakuli. Diane T would report her departure at 1424 only to call again at 1434 to report that she had hauled out again 50 ft away. Thanks to Jean, Diane T, Carrie & Vera.
