Emeritus posse member June Kawamata, spent the afternoon at AD's and provided photos. Thank You June !!
Today's Rabbit Island crew was Duke (RA12), and Kolohe (RW22).
Team Billand reported RIP (RR70), and M&M once again at Maili Point at 0740.
Marilyn did the Ka'ena Point trek again today, and found 761, and Ka'ena (RO40) at the end of the world.
Things got complicated at Turtle Bay today. Dana called at 1300 to advise that R5AY& Pup had moved out of the Keiki Pool area, and hauled out 1000 yds closer to the hotel. Equipment was being moved. Hopefully, there will be further info by blog publication time. Oooops.. there was further word before blog time. Dana called to advise that the last tie was being put in the cordon at the new site at 1827, when R5AY& P entered the water and swam back to the Keiki Pond. See, I keep tellin' ya' Monk Seals look sweet but they have an evil sense of humor.
Dera called at 1413 to advise that she had done the Reef Runway check today, and had found Kekoa (RK72) alone today. Dera called again at 1507 with the report of an animal at Diamond Head. Colleen confired the Rocky ID at 1540. Diamond Head I can take, but pleeeeeeeeease, pleeeease no Waikiki..... pleeeeeeease !
Ocean Safety called at 1707 to advise of an animal near lifeguard stand #41 in Nanakuli. When the Billands arrived the animal had been run off by people throwing things at it. Sad !!
