Nani decided to reenter the water at 0939, just at the boat rounded Makapuu Point at 0940. The troops were on RI (after a 50 yd swim) at 1000. They then spent 2 hours watching Nani swim from 1BS to 3BS, without a care in the world. NOAA time constraints required a 1200 departure. With my "God's Eye View" from Makai Pier I could see a horrible moment developing. Just as the troops were packing up and departing, Nani was hauling out , out of their line of sight at the far left end of the beach. I left Tracy a voicemail message, with that info, and thankfully, as the boat was departing she got the word. The OLE guys were kind enough to drop them off again (another 50 yd swim) and at 1217 Nani got her tags.
Tracy's baby pictures are killer !!!
Team Billand was in car repair mode today, however they did an SW quadrant check late in the day, but found nobody.
Dana called at 1640 with the report of Debbie with an animal at Yokes. Awaiting photos.
In the "Yesterday's News" department, photos of RI37 in Mokuleia, and Rocky (RH58) at Ewa Beach, yesterday.
