At 0739 posse member Terri called with a 2nd hand report of an animal just hauling out at Sandy Beach.
When I arrived at 0745 I found Benny (RE74). What with yesterday's Waikiki swimmer, I was waiting for the call, and sure enough here he is. He would remain until 1034 when he departed of his own volition. Naturally, nothing about Benny is that easy. A call from lifeguard Shannon at 1652 brought news of a haul out at the far east end of Sandys. I arrived to find Benny surrounded by adoring hordes. I got them back and no sooner completed the cordon than he was off again, swimming near shore, back to this mornings location, fronting the Half Point rocks on the main beach at Sandys. Benny still wasn't through. As I was putting up the last of the stakes, he repeatedly galumphed directly toward me, 4 times, requiring that I move the stakes back. This was being observed by the crowd, and they were cracking up. He finally settled down and is snoozin' away. I picked up the rope at 1930, Benny remains. See Benny is just trouble all the way around!!!

At 0950 I found Irma (R010) on the off shore rocks at Kaupo Beach Park. She was still there at dark.
While attempting to locate Benny after he departed Sandy Beach on his morning session we ran across Buster (RV08) plying the Bamboo Ridge waters from Blowhole and moving west. At 1145 June called to say that he had arrived at Kaiwi's hangout, but alas no Kaiwi. Buster hauled out briefly but returned to the water at 1203.
The Billands reported Ewa Girl (RS00) and T21M together at Iroquois Point. Charles' mob chose Ewa Girl for the next Critter Cam. The operation was completed by 0930, and thereafter Ewa Girl departed. T21M had departed when the operation began, but trying valiantly to protect his woman, to no avail. Vera Cober called at 1312 to advise that T21M had returned.
At 1505 Diane Gabriel called to report that she had found Right Spot, on the Kahuku side of Kahuku Pt. She is very probably the animal that has been reported at that location for the last 6 days.
At 1545 the reported Kerby (RW08) at Maili Point.
Tracy has given the new U/M, with the natural bleach on the forehead a temporary ID number. He will now be Temp 410.
