9-26-2012 DB's Dailies: Aukai,Duke&Kolohe@RI, Irma@IR, Buster@LL, RL42&R912@Mokuleia, M&M@WP, R5AY&P, U/U@TB

At 0558 I found Irma (R010), once again at Irma's. I redid the cordon, and checked her molt status. She began the day with one small patch around her left eye, but by end of day she was 100%. I picked up the rope at dark. Irma remains.

At 0826 Gayle called to advise that Buster (RV08) had done a quicky check of Lanai Lookout. Finding no Kaiwi he departed.

On my 2nd Rabbit Island look, at 0935 I could see 3 animals playing in the near shore waters of Rabbit Island, fronting 1BS. On a pan at 1052 I found all 3 just hauling out to 1BS. Left to right they were Duke (RA12), Kolohe (RW22) and Aukai (RL12). They would snooze away the rest of the day.

Team Billand found M&M (R020) just hauling out fronting #1708, White Plains at 1415. Signs down the beach were a possible indication that she had moved.

Dera called at 1525 to advise of a report of an animal swimming in Lagoon #1, KoOlina. The Billands checked the lagoon and reported nobody there at 1621.

She also advised that an animal had been reported between the Turtle Bay pup site and the hotel, about 1000. She had no other info. Posse member Jen Christian had called at 1456 to report a wallow, and signs, but no animal there. Jen also checked out R5AY & Pup.

Kimo called from the Mokuleia pup site at 1548 to advise that RL42 was there, and approximately 200 yds Camp Erdman way he found R912.

Aukai, Duke and Kolohe (what I find striking in this group is Kolohe is the elder in this group, and I still think of him as a wee one)
