8-28-2012 DB's Dailies: Duke,Kolohe&Aukai@RI, Pohaku@Maili, Rocky&Ewa Girl@IRQ

At 0630 I found Duke (RA12) once again at the mid Middle Cliff area of Rabbit Island. He would remain there all day.

At 0911 on a pan I found what would prove to be Kolohe (RW22) at Seal Rock Inlet on RI. He may well have been yesterday's UM, but ??????? He would remain all day.

At 0913 on a pan I found Aukai (RL12) just hauling out to join Duke at mid Middle Cliff. They would remain there together the rest of the day, with only minimal interaction.

When I crawled out of bed this morning I was in full Irma Quest mode. She has been MIA in the SW quadrant for a couple of days, and it just felt like she would be around . When a Colleen call came at 0745 , I thought "Yep !! sheeeees back", Well, kinda' / sorta'. Actually, Colleen reported getting an early morning text about an animal at the Black Point end of Diamond Head, however when she arrived she found only a wallow. Granted it could have been anybody, but when you add in the DUH ? factor , ya' gotta' put Irma at the top of the short list. Despite lots of miles, I never found her. Only Irma Knows !!!

Team Billand called at 0751 with the report of Pohaku (RO28) once again at Nanakai Beach, Maili. They advised that Pohaku departed at 1543.

At 0951 the Billands reported Rocky (RH58) at Iroquois Point. She would depart at 1400.

Also at 0951 they advised that they were responding to an animal at Makaha call. Unfortunately, the animal was gone when they arrived.

Team Billand called at 1639 to advise that Clay Gates had found Ewa Girl (RS00) at Iroquois Point at 1600. I'd been wondering what happened to that girl. She was last seen on Rabbit Island on 8-18-12.

Karen Turner found La'akea right where she has been the last few days, at TB.

In the Yesterday's News department, Vera Cober sent photos from her Turtle Bay adventures with R5AY&Pup, and La'akea (RK82) just down the beach.
