8-23-2012 DB's Dailies & More

Duke (RA12) was my first find of the day, at 0630. He was once again tucked into the base of the Left Middle Cliff, cliff. He would move down to cool off amongst the Duke sized water front rocks mid morning, where he remained the rest of the day.

At 1130, on a pan I found Kolohe (RW22) at Seal Rock Inlet on Rabbit Island. The boy has been MIA since 8-17-12. Its great to have him home again !

Gayle called at 1149 to advise that Buster (RV08) had made a brief haul out to Lanai Lookout. Finding no Kaiwi he came...looked & left.
Team Billand called at 0654 with the report of Pohaku (RO28) once again at Nanakai Beach, Maili. They called again in the afternoon to advise that Debbie (you're worth your weight in Manapua !!!) had called to advise that Pohaku had departed at 1300.

At 0843 the highlight of the day occurred when Team Billand called to advise that they had just found IRMA !!! (R010) at Tracks. The girl was last reported on Kauai, on 8-15-12. Sheees Baaaaaaaaack !!!

The Billands had gotten a call about two critters at White Plains early on, but upon arrival at 0910 the animals had departed, headed west. ?????

At 1018 the Billands were checking Ewa Beach accesses and called with the report of signs visible down the beach. At 1030 they confirmed that Rocky (RH58) was snoozin' between Accesses 185B & C, in Ewa Beach. She had already been dealt with my posse members Mark & Mo, as they have done for some days now, fronting their house. We finally made contact today. They will be a valuable asset there at Ewa Beach. Mark I've known since my shooting days, but Mo and I touched base for the first time today. You are doin' great guys.... keep up the good work !!!

Dera called at 1158 with the report of "a fat seal, with red tags, in the Keiki Pond at Turtle Bay". She advised that Karen Turner was responding. At 1303 Dana called to advise that Karen was there but because of the positioning of the animal she was unable to make an ID as of that time. Of course its easy to ASS U ME that it's R5AY, but some confirmation would be comforting. Dana called at 1612 to advise that Karen had gotten an R5AY tag shot. Thank you Karen !!!! See photos below.
