Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island from 12:08 to 2:01 and there were five seals during that time.
On the 1BS side of LPB were MO3 and her pup PO3. There was a lot of snoozing and some interaction. Both mom and pup seem to be doing well. Marilyn saw one nursing session.
On the 3BS of Middle Cliff were RF34 Pua and her pup PO4. They started near the waterline. PO4 would try to wander away and then Pua would look up and bark. PO4 would make its way back to her. The pup hardly stopped moving during the first hour Marilyn was watching. They later moved up because of the rising tide and went into snooze mode. Both Pua ad PO4 seem healthy.
About 12:30 pm, Marilyn became aware of a seal in the RRB channel. Marilyn doesn't think it had been there earlier. This seal is labeled Unknown Sub-adult: small sub-adult size, no info on tags or sex. The ventral looked mottled, but that just might be sand.
For the 3rd day, Team R&B saw Nalu R3CX with fishing gear from his mouth. The lead, pigtail swivel and line, heavy duty fishing gear and a O ring.
He tossed about for about 4 minutes, it was difficult to watch. It seemed he may have been reeled in to the rocks, as they saw a guy videoing the incident.
After Team R&B saw Nalu far away from the jetty area. They did their best to keep watch on him.
While in the area they came across the lovely Miss Kala RH76. She was on the rocks snoring away.
They did go back later in the day and she was still there.
One of their stops was at rails. They spotted a mint green little seal on the rocks. They walked out and were happy to see RP28 Wakea.
They noted this area has more and more homeless camps and lots of dogs. They took some photos and left the area.
When they went to check out Kahe they found Kalua RL20 and he is hook free. He was resting peacefully.
And finally there were the whales. While they were IDing RL20 the whales were off in the water breaching.
