HMMA Update from July 2nd

The morning began at 0616 with a report from Nancy about Benny (RE74) at Paradise Cove. ID was made by his E77 tag and by natural bleach. Benny was back in the water at 0858 and then hauled out again at 0952. At 1111 Benny departed. A few calls came from 1130-1131 about a seal in lagoon 2 and another reported stated a seal was in lagoon 1, but no seals were found at either location.

 At 0740 a report was made about a mom and pup pair at the Elbow at Turtle Bay. Karen responded and found no seals present. At 0901 a report was made about a seal at Malaekahana Beach. The seal was believed to be Honey Girl (R5AY) but a positive ID could not be made. No further word at this time.

Marilyn checked in at 0930 with a report of Kaena (RO40) at Kaena Point. Kaena's hook is still visible but he appears well. At 1045 Marilyn checked in again with a report of Squinty (R330). At 1543 a report was made of a seal at Kaena Point. Caller was unable to Id the seal.

At 1638 Donna checked in with a report of Aukai (RL12) on the mokes. Aukai was ID'ed by tag L12.
