At 0649 I peered down into the small cove on the Sandy Beach side of the Blowhole Lookout, and found Kea (RN46) snoozin’. I’d last seen the boy at Toilet Bowl on 3-24-14. He has remained all day.
At 0710 on arrival to Makai Pier I found Sadie&Pup (D#1) hiding behind the water front rocks on the far left end of the beach on Rabbit Island. They would remain barely visible all day until moving up at 1312, just enough to be seen.
Also at 0710 I found Kainoa (RN04) and an U/U, right of 1BS. I was never able to get any info or an ID on the UU animal. Both would enter the water at 0902 and I got a brief glimpse of them behind rocks at the right end of the Middle Cliff. I lost them until I found Kainoa hauling out to his starting point right of 1BS. I got a partial look at the UU behind rocks at Rocky Right Beach. The animal was gone when I got back to the pier at 1312.
At 0921 she reported the arrival of Buster (RV08) to join Haupu.
At 1033 Diane called again with word of T21M fronting #1944 at White Plains.
At 1556 Diane advised that M&M (R020) was just hauling out to join the others at #1707.
Afternoon email from Dana brought word that Michelle Jordan had reported La’akea (RK82) at Turtle Bay, as well as Meli (RF20) & Kaikaina (RL54) together at the Elbow.
Yet another Diane T call at 1629 advised of the arrival of an U/U animal between #1707 & #1708. At 1646 she confirmed the R018 ID.
Team Billand forwarded shots from Prisilla Sharpe, showing Pokaku (RO28) behind her house in Maili. She departed at 1900.
Kimo called from the end of the world at 1836 advising that he’d found Kolohe (RW22), RW30 & RL42 at KP, and RW02 at Mokuleia.
