9-8-2013 DB's Dailies: Kea@AD, Kaiwi@BF, Right Spot@RP, R912&Pup@Mokuleia,Pohaku&Haupu@GR, RIP,Kerby&RL42@KP, Kolohe@Maili Pt

At 0545 we found Kea (RN46) in a tide pool at the rock flats, 100 yds east of the AD wall. At 0600 he would enter the water and begin a swim/forage to the east, arriving at the 200yd flats at 0610. At 0635 he would move out to the surf line and remained out there for 20 minutes. It is his first sustained, observed venture out that far. At 0714 he moved to the tide pool at his birth site, approximately 230 yds east of the wall. He would remain in that pool until 1023 when he again ventured back to the surf line, tending toward moving to the west. He was still out there when I got relieved. He would move back to the 100yd flats and snoozed away the rest of the day. He reentered the water for a swim/forage at 1835.

At 0627 Team Billand reported Pohaku (RO28) at Maili Guard Rails. On a 1519 check, Pohaku was gone.

At 0817 they found Kolohe (RW22) at Maili Point.

At 0827 Dera called to confirm that Rocky (RH58) was still at Kaimana Beach.

At 1000 Barbara called to report finding RL42, 7 min. in on the Waianae side KP trail.
At 1127 Barbara reported finding RIP (RR70) at the point, Ka’ena Point.

At 1148 Barbara reported Kerby (RW08) , also at the Point of KP. That was especially good news since he hadn’t been seen since 7-20-13.

At 1210 Dera called to advise that Eileen had reported Kekoa (RK72) at the Reef Runway.

D. Schofield called at 1408 with a report of an animal at Blowhole. Upon investigation that would morph into Kaiwi (RK96) at Buster Flats, Lanai Lookout.

At 1519 Team Billand found Haupu (RB24) at Guard Rails.

Dera called to advise that Jeannie had found Right Spot (R016) at Rocky Point.

At 1348 I got a call about an animal trying to haul out at SB. As has been the case of late the animal was not there when I arrived. My number #1 suspect was of course Benny. At 1530 posse member Stacey reported an animal swimming through the pool at Kaupo Beach Park, head bobbing all the way, and of course the masses would not allow him to haul out and he continued on toward the pier. Circumstantial though it might be, I've got two cats on Benny.

Kea... this pic to me is a perfect description of a weaner... carefree and silly !!!
and let's not forget a good vocal range too
This angers me more than anything.... total disregard, no respect for the aina or people... These jerks have no clue how lucky they are to have a gorgeous beach to sit at and spend an evening, the least they can do is keep it friggen clean!!! What jerks!
 Right Spot at rocky point
 Mom and Pup north shore
haaa we're getting close to the point of who's who, well at least waist wise.
 Pohaku
Her markings always remind me of KC... which raises the question, wonder where that ole' gal been hanging out?
 RIP
 Kerby at Ka'ena Point
 kolohe at Maili Point
grown up to be a handsome dude
 Haupu at Guard Rail
RL42 at Ka'ena Point roughing it on a rocky bed
