Arrived at AD at 0600. At 0616 I found Kea (RN46) just galumphing over the western edge of the rock flats, 100 yds east of the AD wall. I would get another glimpse of him off shore of the Kealahou traffic light, at Irma’s, indicating that he was headed west. Despite multiple checks and rechecks of Sandy Beach to the AD estuary, I could not find the kid. Recent behavior had been for him to show up at the wall around 1100. I arrived there at 1030, and at 1045 there was Kea just arriving at the wall. He would continue on to the 200yd nook, and then moved back to the rocks, 125 yds east of the wall where he hauled out at 1131. I put up the cordon and he remains. Gayle advised that at 1423 he went for a short swim to the east several feet, but returned and went back to snooze mode at his start point. He snoozed away the remainder of the day.
At 1311 I found Duke (RA12) at the left end of the beach on Rabbit Island. I was unable to get a molt percentage due to positioning, but what I could see was clean.
At 0657 Team Billand reported M&M (R020) fronting #1944, White Plains.
At 0815 they found Makaiwi (R4DF) off the rocks at KoOlina. Tracy advised that antibiotics were administered.
Ocean Safety called at 1355 to advise of an animal in the trough at Magic Island. I notified Dana. No further word. Earlier email from Colleen advised that Rocky was not at DH today. Now we know why. Dana confirmed the Rocky (RH58) ID at 1529. Dana called at 1759 to advise that Rocky has relocated to the Hilton Hawaiian Village.
At 1525 Team Billand found Pohaku (RO28) at Maili Pt.
Kimo reported Nihoa&Luana still together at Mokuleia. They were initially well apart but later connected.
