At 0545 I found Kea (RN46) in a tide pool at the 100 yd rock flats. At 0623 he would galumph across the rocks and enter the water to the east of the flats. He began a leisurely swim / forage session that would take him to the 200 yd rock flats. He would haul out for a snooze on the sand from 0837 until 1100. He then reentered the water for another leisure return to he 100 yd flats where he hauled out for another snooze at 1218. The SPZ was redone.
At 1321 Ocean Safety called , reporting an animal at Sandy Beach. When I arrived at 1330 I found Buster (RV08). I cordoned him off and he remains.
Team Billand reported M&M (R020) at Maili Pt at 0712.
At 0945 they reported Haupu (RB24) at Paradise Cove.
Barbara did a KP trek today and reported RIP (RR70) & Ka’ena (RO40) at the end of the world. Unfortunately Ka’ena would be run off by idiots.
At 1355 the Billands reported Pohaku (RO28) at Maili Guard Rails.
Dera Mail provided a shot of T21M on the beach behind the Mokuleia Polo Field. looking mighty skinny too!
Dera called at 1443 to advise that Kaimana volunteer Danielle reported that Rocky (RH58) had overnighted, and departed at 0630 only to return at 1200.
I've to do an airport run after my afternoon Kea shift so I'll have to get the dailies out a bit early. Check the blog for the Billand's day in the morning.
Sweet Kea
