12-24-2012 DB's Dailies

Today's Rabbit Island session was full of warm, fuzzy moments of holiday homecomings. At 0700 I found M38 snoozin', left of 2BS, as usual of late. At 0712 I found Buster (RV08) up in the Morning Glory, 50 ft left of 1BS. He was in the company of Nani (RK60). She would begin her galumph to the sea at 0722, with Buster close behind, however about half way Buster turned at returned to the Morning Glory. Nani would depart at 0722. I would not see her again today.

M38 would relocate to Seal Rock Inlet at 0922. At 0949 he would be joined by Kolohe (RW22). He is my pick for my U/U at SC yesterday. They would both remain there for the remainder of the day.

At 1023 on a routine pan I found that my #2 son, Mojo (RI17) had joined M38 and Kolohe. Home for the holidays from Molokai. Mojo would depart at 1033, only to haul out again to join Buster at the left end of the beach, where he would remain for the rest of the day.

Kimo called at 0758 with the report of Kaiwi (RK96), once again at her hideout at Lanai Lookout. The Kaiwi Klan is stoked to have there baby back. She remained there all day. A 1643 call from Gayle advised that Kaiwi had entered the water at 1550, and was foraging just outside the inlet to her LL perch.

In case you were wondering, Rocky was a no show today (per Gayle) after a 4 day stay at Kokee . Tomorrow ????

Team Billand had their hands full again today. At 0724 they reported Kermit (R012) fronting #1708, and Makaiwi (R4DF) fronting #1706 at White Plains.
Dera called at 1006 to report KC (RK28) at Leftovers, on the North Shore. Photos confirmed the ID.

Also at 1006 Dera advised of 2 animals in Laie, across the street from PCC. A 1134 Dera would confirm that they were RI37, and one of Diane's Molokai males, RB10.

At 1230 Team Billand checked in again with the report of a 100% molted Benny (RE74) on the main beach at Makaha.
At 1344 the Billands found 2AW in Makaha, across the street from the old Cornet Store.
At 1405 they reported Pohaku (RO28) at Maili Point.

Posse member Mo DaRin called at 1736 with the report of an animal behind her house in Ewa Beach. Her photo would confirm the Irma (R010) ID.
