M38 and Kaiwi (RK96) yet again up in the grass behind Seal Rock Inlet on my 0717 Rabbit Island check.
At 0856 I would find Aukai (RL12) tucked into the base of the cliff at Rocky Right Beach on RI. She had no doubt been there all along, and I just didn't see her until the light got just right. All would move down to cool off mid morning, and all would remain at there respective locations all day.
Team Billand reported M&M (R020) fronting #1760 White Plains at 0801.
At 0929 they found Irma (R010) lollygaggin' in the Wind Sock pool. She would haul out at 1010.
Marilyn, Lesley and crew did the Ka'ena Point trek again today, going in from the Waianae end. They found RIP (RR70),Ka'ena(RO40),RK36 & Benny (RE74) all in a group on the back beach. RK36 would depart at 1010, however they found him again on the way out, approximately half way back to the trail head.
At 1227 Cianna called with the report of an U/U at Makalei Beach Park, Waikiki. Karen Rohter had called earilier, asking for word on an animal to show her guests, so I called her and she responded. I've not heard from Karen. Cianna called at at 1710 to advise that Colleen had checked and found nobody, however Cianna said she had a report of an animal swimming in the area. An U/U is required, but in the entire 15 million year history of Monk Seals, only two animals, Chester & Rocky have ever hauled out there.
