12-10-2012 DB's Dailies: M38&Kaiwi@RI, M&M@WP, Pohaku@Secrets, Kermit@PC, UU@San Souci, Ua Malie@HR, Irma@KCG, @ Maili Pt

At 0655 I found M38 and Kaiwi (RK96) together up in the grass, 100 ft right of 3BS on Rabbit Island. They would move down mid morning to cool off, and remained at that location the rest of the day.

Colleen called at 0815 to advise that Buster & Rocky were gone from San Souci, however, as she was picking up the equipment an U/U cruised by in the shallows, bellowing, and checking the beach. The animal departed in a Waikiki direction.

Part#2 of this story began at 1100 when I got a call from Ocean Safety, reporting an animal just hauling out at San Souci. I called Colleen and she responded. She was putting up the cordon when the animal departed. It was covered in sand, and she was busy with the cordon, so no ID was gotten. Of course the 10th floor calls this an U/U. My cats are on Buster....DUH ?

At 0919 Team Billand checked in with the report of M&M (R020) fronting Tower #2 at White Plains.

At 1039 they found Pohaku (RO28) at Secret Beach, KoOlina.

At 1051 the Billands reported Kermit (R012) at Paradise Cove.

At 1221 posse member Jon Mossman called with the report of Ua Malie (RT10) at High Rock, Kahuku. Confirming photos have been received. Her last sighting was on 7-29-12.

Team Billand checked in again at 1338 with the report of Irma (R010) at Kalaeloa Campgrounds (Al's Bench).

At 1626 Team Billand reported Kerby (RW08) at Maili Point.

Lesley & Diga checked in at 1324. They had been out on the R5AY Quest all day, but alas did not find her. The did however run into the sisters, La'akea (RK82) and RL54, once again at th elbow, Turtle Bay.
